About In Line K9 Academy

Hi! My name is Brittany Straw and I have been passionate about animals my entire life.
Did you know that the term passion actually means to suffer? What is it that you’re willing to do even if you’re not paid to do it? Not for ego, not for fame, not for money. You’re doing it simply for the love of it. When you can ask yourself that question- what are you passionate about in that sense, is when you know that really what you want to do. And when you can do that, is when you start living to your truest potential.
Living in a sincere state of happiness because you are doing something that you really love, that you will do at whatever cost, is where you will make the biggest impact that is long lasting and meaningful.
I began to pursue dog training 15 years ago when I rescued my first dog, Nikita, from the pound. We had an immediate connection, but Nikki began to exhibit dangerous and aggressive behaviors that I was not properly equipped to handle. I did not want to surrender her back to the pound, so I began to explore the wonderful world of dog training. There are so many different methods and tools, I had no clue where to begin. But because of my immense dedication and her innate skill to communicate with canines, I got Nikki on the track to a successful and happy future. I now dedicate my time helping as many dogs and owners as feasibly possible. I am very involved with local rescue organizations such has the United States Wolf Refuge and Pawsibilites. Helping them rescue, rehabilitate and rehome animals that were otherwise going to be euthanized. It’s incredibly rewarding for me to connect dogs and their owners. Witnessing them cultivate a strong and unbreakable bond is priceless because they can now be stress free & enjoy the adventures that life brings.
